These are a couple of the photos I recently took at the Port Fairy Folk Music Festival held last month in Port Fairy, Australia. Port Fairy is a beautiful, little town on the coast in Victoria, Australia. You can drive there from Melbourne in a couple of hours via Geelong. The inland route avoids the traffic of the Great Ocean Road which is a good thing. The Great Ocean Road is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia meaning it is always packed with people, cars and tourist busses. Port Fairy went through a real boom and bust period that resulted in some great buildings, homes and hotels. Most of these remain intact due to the march of time and economic development passing the town. The Folk Music Festival attracts thousands of musicians, visitors and music lovers. Listening to the music, eating, people watching and admiring the architecture is a great way to spend a couple of days.
